I'm writing this to ask to include my ancestor Jonathan Hurlbut in your database of Revolutionary War Patriots buried in Herkimer County cemeteries. Jonathan's grave and inscription with his name and date of death can be found in the First Baptist Church Cemetery in Newport, Herkimer County. He served with the Massachusetts 10th regiment under Col. Thomas Marshall and was at the battle of Saratoga. He was born 9 Oct 1756 in Chatham CT and died in Newport in 6 Feb 1838. His participation is documented in his pension records. I would love to see his resting place marked with a flag, but do not know how to get one?
Thank you,
Carol Farrell
