In the name of God Amen. I John T. Lenardson of the town of Root in the County of Montgomery and the State of New York do make and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following. First I resign my soul into the hands of Almighty God, hoping and believing in a resurrection of my sins by the merits and mediation of Jesus Christ and my body I commit to the earth to be buried at the discretion of my executors herein after named. And my worldly estate I give and devise as follows.

First - I direct that after all of my just debts and funeral expenses are paid that my beloved wife Sarah shall have the management and control of all my estate both real and personal so long as she remains my widow and after her power of management shall cease I then give to my son Robert Lenardson all my estate aforesaid both real and personal except what is hereinafter otherwise directed. I further direct that my son Robert is to support my son John Lenardson so long as he shall live and if he is not well taken care of then my will is that my executors shall provide and take care of him and his support to be taken out of my estate heretofore given to my son Robert. I give and devise unto my son Aaron Lenardson six weeks after my death my clock and the old closet six chairs and the cross cut saw. I give and devise unto my grand daughter Sarah Lenardson if she lives with me until the death of my wife and myself and behaves herself, then I give her all my household furniture except what I have devised to my son Aaron. My will is that my estate both real and personal that I give to my son Robert after the support of my son John is for himself his heirs and assigns but not to dispose of the real estate without the consent of my executors. If my son Robert should die without and heirs then my will is that my estate aforesaid be divided between my other children.

And lastly I hereby appoint my son Aaron Lenardson and Jacob Stowits my executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made.

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the third day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty.
