Be it remembered that on this twenty seventh day of October in the year
eighteen hundred and twenty eight the last will and testament of Simon
Bidleman deceased was duly proved before me Arphaxed Loomis Surrogate of
Herkimer County and Letters testamentary were thereon by me granted
which said will with the certificate of proof thereto annexed and the
Letters testamentary thereon granted are in the words and figures
following Vis..

Be it remembered that on the twenty seventh day of October in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight personally
appeared before me Arphaxed Loomis Surrogate of the County of Herkimer
aforesaid George Heller and John Ralsten two of the subscribing
witnesses to the will of Simon Bidleman late of Manheim in the County of
Herkimer deceased who being duly sworn declared that they did see the
said Simon Bidleman deceased seal and execute the instrument hereunto
annexed and impressed with the seal of office of the said Surrogate
which said instrument purports to be the last will and testament of the
said Simon Bidleman deceased bearing date the thirteenth day of April in
the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirteen. That they
heard him the said Simon Bidleman publish and declare the same as and
for his last will and testament. That at the time thereof he the said
Simon Bidleman was of sound mind and disposing memory to the best of the
knowledge and belief of them the said George Heller and and (sic) John
Ralsten and that they together with Henry Keysor and Johannes Keysor the
other witnesses to the said will did severally subscribe their names
thereto as witnesses in the presence of the testator and of each other.
In testimony whereof the said Surrogate hath hereunto set his hand and
affixed his seal of office. Done at the town of Herkimer this twenty
seventh day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and twenty eight.

In the name of God amen -
I Simon Bidleman of the town of Manheim County of Montgomery and State
of New York considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of
good health and of sound and perfect mind and memory Blessed be Almighty
God for the same Do make and publish this my last will and testament in
manner and form following (that is to say) First - I give and bequeath
unto my dearly beloved wife Ann Bidleman one half of the Cattle Sheep
and Swine of whatever description belonging to me at my decease as also
all and singular my household furniture of whatever description to have
and hold to her the said Ann and to be at her sole disposal provided
nevertheless that she do maintain my name during her natural life. Item
I do also will and order that my dearly beloved wife Ann shall during
her natural life or as long as she remains my widow remain in my
dwelling house and be sole mistress of that and my farm during the time
aforesaid except as is hereafter provided. Item - I do also give and
bequeath unto my eldest son Henry Bidleman the sum of five shillings.
Item - I do also give and bequeath unto my next eldest son Robert
Bidleman (deceased) his heirs and assigns the sum of five shillings.
Item - I do also give & bequeath unto my next eldest son Peter Bidleman
the sum of five shillings. Item - I do also give & bequeath unto my
next eldest son John Bidleman the sum of fifty dollars which said
several legacies or sums of money I do will and order shall be paid by
my youngest son Adam Bidleman to said respective Legatees within two
years after my decease. Item - I do also give and bequeath unto my
youngest son Adam Bidleman the other half of my cattle sheep and swine
of what ever description belonging to me at my decease it being the full
intent and meaning of this my last will and testament that the whole of
my cattle sheep and swine shall be equally divided between my wife Ann
and my youngest son Adam as aforesaid. Item - I do also further give
and bequeath unto my said youngest son Adam all my horses mares and
colts of whatever description as also all and singular my tools and
farming utensils of whatever description belonging to my farm. Item - I
do also further give and devise to my said youngest son Adam Bidleman
all that my certain piece or parcel of land together with the messuages
houses or tenements barn and out houses thereon standing situate lying &
being in the town of Manheim County of Montgomery and State of New York
and is known and distinguished by being the one half of lot number six
in great lot number fifteen in Glen Purchase together with all my other
freehold estate whatever to have and to hold to him the said Adam
Bidleman his heirs and assigns after the decease of my wife or at the
change of her name forever. Item - I do also will and order that my
youngest daughter Deantha shall receive after my decease the cow and
heifer five sheep and the beds and beding which she now claims at the
date thereof as her own. Item - I do also give and bequeath unto my
eldest daughter Ann Hoopman the sum of ten dollars. Item - I do also
give and bequeath unto my next eldest daughter Mary Anstead the sum of
fifteen dollars. Item I do also give and bequeath unto my youngest
daughter Deantha in addition to what she is to receive as above the sum
of twenty five dollars which said several legacies or sums of money I do
also will and order shall be paid by my youngest son Adam Bidleman to
said respective Legatees within two years after my decease. - Item - I
do also will and order that my youngest son Adam Bidleman shall till and
manage the farm I have given and devised to him as aforesaid to his own
proper benefit and behoof reserving always yearly and every year during
the natural life of my wife Ann Bidleman or as long as she shall remain
my widow a suff ntey of the nett produce of said farm for her my said
wife's decent and comfortable maintenance. And Lastly as to all the
rest residue and remainder of my personal estate goods and chattels of
what kind and nature soever I give and bequeath the same to my said
beloved wife Ann Bidleman and I do hereby appoint John Windecker of the
town of Fairfield County of Herkimer and state of New York and Henry
Keller of the town of Manheim County of Montgomery and State aforesaid
my sole executors of this my last will & testament hereby revoking all
former wills by me made.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 13th day of
April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight-hundred and thirteen.

In the matter of the proof of the last will and testament of Simeon
Bidleman late of the town of Manheim deceased -
George Heller and John Ralston being both severally sworn in open court
do depose and say that they were severally well acquainted with Simon
alias Simeon Bidleman late of the town of Manheim and the county of
Montgomery now County of Herkimer in his life time and did respectively
see him the said Simeon alias Simon sign and hear him declare the same
to be his last will and testament on the 13th day of April 1813 which is
now here shewn to us and the Court and hereto annexed and do further
respectively say that Henry Keyser and Johannes Keyser were also both
present and did together with these deponents see said testator Simon
alias Simeon Bidleman sign said will and testament and heard him declare
the same as such and these deponents say respectively that they did and
the said Henry Keyser and Johannes Keysor did respectively sign the same
said last will and testament as subscribing witnesses to the execution
of the same by the testator aforesaid in the presence of the said
testator and in the presence of each other. And these deponents further
respectively say that the said testator was sane, of sound mind and
perfectly competent to the transaction of business and say that he the
said testator is dead and further say that Henry Keyser and Johannes
Keyser the two aforesaid subscribing witnesses to said Will are both
also dead.
