The Will of George Golden of the Town and Village of Herkimer was graciously contributed

"I would like to contribute this probated will of George Golden to your site."
At a Surrogate's Court, held at the Surrogate's Office in Herkimer in
and of the County of Herkimer, the 31st. day of July 1916
Present, Hon. Charles Bell--Surrogate
SURROGATE'S COURT--County of Herkimer.
In the matter proving the last will and testament of George Golden--deceased.
Satisfactory proof having been made and filed of the due services of
the citation issued in this matter requiring the people or persons to show
just cause in this Court on the 19th. Day of April A.D. 1915 at 10
o'clock in the forenoon, why the Last Will and Testament of George Golden late
of the Village of Herkimer in the County of Herkimer, and State of New
York should not be admitted to Probate as a Will of real and personal
property, and a supplemental citation having been issued to Perry
Cress, Josephine Phillips and Lily Keller, returnable February 28, 1916,
at 10 o'clock A.M., and said supplemental citation having been duly
served on all of said persons and all of the heirs at law and next of kin so
said George Golden, deceased, having been duly cited herein and having none
of the having appeared herein, and the matter having been duly adjourned
from time to time until this day, and an instrument in writing dated August
10, 1904, purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of said George
Golden having been presented for probate, now after hearing the allegations
of the parties appearing, and the witnesses having been duly examined and
the proofs reduced to writing, and it appearing to the Surrogate that said will
was duly executed; and that the testator, at the time of executing it was in all
respects competent to make a will and not under restraint;the Surrogate being satisified of the
genuineness of the will, and the validity of the execution, and the probate thereof
not be contested, it is
ORDERED, ADJUDGED and DECREED, that the instrument offered for
probate herein be, and the same hereby is admitted to probate as the Last Will
and Testament of George Golden--deceased valid to pass both real and
personal property.

The Will:
In the name of God, Amen, I, George Golden, being of sound mind and
memory and understanding do hereby make, publish and declare this to
be my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking any and all wills made by me heretofore.
First.- I hereby give, devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Anna
Golden all my estate real personal and mixed that I may die seized and possessed of or
to which I may be in any manner entitled to and whatsoever situated.
Secondly.- I hereby appoint my beloved wife Anna Golden the sole
Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament and request that she be
allowed to qualify as my executrix without bond.
IN WITNESS THEREOF I, George Golden have to this my Last Will and
Testament set my hand and seal this 10th. day of August A.D. 1904.

The above statement was at the date thereof signed, sealed published
and ordered by the said George Golden as the Last Will and Testament in
the presence of us at his request and in his presence and in the presence
of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.
